These maps utilise a cylindrical equal area projection -(Don't switch off!). This represents countries in their correct proportional size, something that a lot of maps do not do. It achieves this by sacrificing shape, particularly in the areas closest to the poles. The result is an alternative and thought-provoking vision of our planet and an attractive modern art piece that can be hung in any room.
Colour: Color is graded through countries and continents to remove the abrupt border lines of more traditional designs.
Printing: The map is litho-printed on to a coated, silk finish paper with special colors, including silver metallic for the seas. The print is finished with a sealer to protect the inks and a gloss UV varnish applied to the landmasses for contrast.
